Founded  in 2019, Bob and Hazel set out to open the first Cheesy Bob Grilled Cheese shop. After realizing the shortage of high quality fast casual spots in the Florence area, it was only fate the first location chosen was a few miles from downtown Florence and just 1 mile north of the University of North Alabama. The goal was simple...create grilled cheese sandwiches that blew people's mind. Use only the highest quality cheeses and ingredients. Make everything from scratch if possible, and keep late night hours for the college. Here we go!

Cheesy Bob's is funky, clean, and eclectic. Bob grew up on the West Coast and moved to the great South so the style and atmosphere is a mix of skateboards, surfboards, beachy vibes mixed with southern antiques, rustic features, and custom art everywhere! There's even a Tie Dyed VW Beetle parked out front!

Hazel comes from a restaurant background and also a real estate career. As a native to Cleveland, she brings with her the ability to keep the gears oiled in a fast paced environment. She is considered to be the ultimate task master and quality control inspector for customer relations and delivery. She also likes to boss everyone around ;)

Each sandwich is hand crafted and made fresh to order. Bob is very specific about the cooking process and insists on only using cast iron. Every recipe is made in house and tested until the perfect result is achieved. The tomato soup is also Bob's recipe and made fresh every single morning. He blends down the ingredients to make the perfect dipping consistancy. No corners are cut...ever. 

The inside is a classic barstool setup with about 8 total seats. There is also an outdoor covered Tiki Hut that seats 15-20 more. Call ahead ordering is preferred for larger groups. There is also a walk-up window on the side of the building so any call-ahead orders are easily picked up from this location without having to walk in.
